The Rokeby Farm property has a long and storied history as an icon of the Virginia Piedmont. Operated today by the Oak Spring Garden Foundation, Rokeby is a place where agriculture, art, learning, and community thrive together in the beautiful countryside. We are thrilled to invite you to the third annual Rokeby Community Festival, where guests of all ages can get into the fall spirit with friends and family. Some highlights of the festival will include (with further details updated throughout the summer): -Live music, including music from the winners of the 2026 OSGF Music Residencies -Food trucks provided by local vendors -Local libations provided by Powers Brewery and Slater Run Vineyard -Family fun activities including kids games, inflatables, a scavenger hunt, cover crop maze and more! -Educational plant talks and field walks on a variety of topics around the vegetable farm and in the Rokeby Wildlife Garden -Interactive display exhibitions -Educational booths to learn more about what's happening at Oak Spring and other local environmental organizations across the Piedmont area -Greater selection of local craft market vendors Please note this event is exclusively on the Rokeby side of Oak Spring Garden Foundation. Admittance to the Festival does not provide access to Little Oak Spring. Please also note that, due to the nature of the property, working farm operations, and the safety and comfort of all guests, dogs and other pets are strictly prohibited at the festival. Service animals trained to perform specific tasks for individuals with disabilities are welcome in accordance with ADA guidelines. The Oak Spring Garden Foundation is a legacy of the designer, horticulturalist and philanthropist Rachel Lambert “Bunny” Mellon. Mrs. Mellon’s hope was that her extensive collection of rare books, artwork, and other materials relating to plants, gardens, and landscapes could continue to be used for education and inspiration. Registration, Arrival and Refunds: Tickets for this event are General Admission. Starting at 10:00 AM guests may check-in on the Rokeby side. Last guest check-in time is at 3:00 PM, however guests on-site are welcome to stay until 4:00 PM. Tickets are available online ahead of the festival for $10. Children under the age of 12 are free. Tickets will be available day-of at check-in for $15. Tickets are non-refundable except in cases of emergency, illness, or in the event that the Festival is canceled. Note: the Festival will run if it rains unless lightning or wind make it unsafe to do so. Please check our social media for any last minute changes (Instagram: @oakspringgardenfoundation; Twitter: @oak_spring; Facebook: Oak Spring Garden Foundation). Festival funds will be used to benefit our outreach and education activities in our local community. A Note on Accessibility: The Oak Spring Garden Foundation is located in the rural foothills of the Piedmont Mountains with rolling hills and often uneven terrain. Much of the festival is across gravel paths and grass and not well suited to motorized carts or walkers. For your comfort and safety, please wear flat walking shoes, no spiked heels. Please watch for steps and uneven surfaces. Guests with mobility issues are advised to consider these factors prior to purchasing a festival ticket. Parking There will be a limited number of handicap accessible spaces that will be accessed on a first come, first served basis. Once those spaces are reserved, OSGF staff will have a golf cart that is able to transport visitors to and from their cars. As much as possible, walking is encouraged as golf cart accessibility will be limited.
