All of the Lakeland Jazz Festival events have been cancelled.
The Lakeland Jazz Festival returns for its 48th year of honoring this singularly American art form. The line up of events includes performances of area high school and middle school bands for adjudication on Friday, March 20, 2020, and then concerts slated for Friday night and Saturday, March 21, 2020.

Big Band Evening Extravaganza
The Lakeland Civic Jazz Orchestra under the direction of Dave Sterner will perform music from Bob Mintzer, Thad Jones, and Paul Ferguson among others.
The Cleveland State University Jazz Ensemble under the direction of John Perrine will perform music from Jimmy Heath, Michael League, Robert Searight, Sammy Nestico and Cole Porter.
Tickets: $10 general admission . $7 students

Carol Welsman Trio featuring, Carol Welsman, Brandi Disterheft and Anne Drummond
This year, Lakeland Community College is proud to bring you a performance by the Carol Welsman Trio that will appeal to both serious jazz fans and casual jazz followers. Carol Welsman, piano and vocals, is an international artist who has toured the world performing in multiple languages. She has become one of Canada’s finest vocalists and pianists and has received several Canadian Grammy Award nominations. Joining her to form an all women trio, is Brandi Disterheft, acoustic bass and vocals, and Anne Drummond, flute.
7-7:45 p.m. Up Close and Personal with the Carol Welsman Trio– a pre-concert discussion with the band members. For ticket-holders only.
