The Gateway Festival Orchestra Invites You to “A Tribute to Women Composers”
Join us for an inspiring evening of music on Friday, March 14, 2025, at 7:30 PM as we celebrate Women’s History Month with a concert dedicated to the remarkable contributions of women in music.
Under the direction of the dynamic Leon Burke III, the GSO will showcase brilliant works by pioneering composers, including Amy Beach's mesmerizing “Gaelic Symphony” and Florence Price’s evocative “Adoration.” Feel the energy of Joan Tower’s exhilarating “Fanfare for the Uncommon Woman” and experience the local talent of St. Louis's own Mary Sweetin with her captivating “River Cathedral.” Plus, enjoy the celebratory “Gateway Festival Symphony” by Barbara Harbach, composed in 20213 to mark the GFO's 50th anniversary.
This exciting concert will be held at the Pattonville High School Community Auditorium, 2497 Creve Coeur Mill Rd, St. Louis, MO 63043. Attendance is completely FREE! Bring your family and your friends to share the joy of this exceptional musical experience.
