Outdoor events are back in Ahwatukee!! Ahwatukee annual Chili Cook Off and Carnival begins Friday, October 22 with the Carnival 5pm - 9pm. Saturday, October 23 Carnival 10am - 9pm; chili tasting 11am - 3pm, Sunday, October 24 Carnival 10am - 5pm; chili tasting 11:30am - 3:30pm. Proceeds from tasting kits benefit 100 Club of AZ and Kiwanis Club of Ahwatukee. Cooks from around the Country travel to compete in this sanctioned International Chili Society cook off. If you have a great recipe for red, verde or homestyle chili or a recipe for salsa and would like to try this great competition, call the Ahwatukee Community Center, 480-893-3431 ext. 0. Cash prizes are awarded for 1st place winners in all categories including People's Choice chili.
