Amare NFP Hosts Annual "Rockin' for Recovery" Festival in Honor of National Recovery Month
Wood River, Illinois – Amare, a leading Recovery Community Organization serving Madison and St. Clair County, is excited to announce its annual "Rockin' for Recovery" music and food truck festival. This year’s event will be held on September 28, 2024, at Bethalto Central Park, and promises to be an unforgettable experience for the entire community.
"Rockin' for Recovery" is a family-friendly event designed to celebrate National Recovery Month, offering an opportunity for the community to come together in support of individuals and families affected by substance use disorder. Amare’s mission to educate, empower, and provide compassionate recovery support services will be at the heart of this festival, showcasing the strength and unity of our community.
The festival will feature a fantastic lineup of musical performances, including local favorite Dry Clean Only and two incredible tribute bands, Black Magic, and Crossroads. In addition to great music, attendees can indulge in delicious offerings from a variety of food trucks, including Falafel Saha, Fusion Taco, Overboard, and Kona Ice.
This year’s event also introduces the newly rebranded Fun Zone, where the young and young at heart can enjoy activities like an inflatable obstacle course and a cannonball blaster. The festival will also host a diverse group of agencies, organizations, and mutual aid groups from across the region, all coming together to support recovery and well-being. There will also be three testimonials from members of the recovery community.
Amare’s services, including Recovery Coaching, Peer Support, Telephonic Recovery Support, Employment Coaching, and Recovery Family Coaching and Support, will be highlighted throughout the event, reinforcing our commitment to supporting individuals and families on their recovery journey.
Admission is free and open to the public. This event is about fostering "Unity in CommUNITY," bringing together people from all walks of life to celebrate recovery and build connections.
