An Extraordinary Evening with Stephanie Trick and Paolo Alderighi

Stephanie Trick and Paolo Alderighi are married and have been working on making fresh arrangements of songs from the Swing Era (jazz, swing, stride and ragtime) in a four-hands piano duo. They have performed together in Europe, the United States, and Japan. They have recorded six albums together.

Stephanie is a classically trained pianist. She began playing piano at the age of five. While in college, it became clear to Stephanie that she wanted to pursue stride and classic jazz styles professionally.

In 2012, Stephanie was the recipient of the prestigious Kobe-Breda Jazz Friendship Award. She has performed in many parts of the United States and Europe in a variety of venues, including the Teatro Dal Verme in Milan, Italy, the KIG Dixieland Festival in Dresden, Germany, the Arbors Records Invitational Jazz Party, the Rochester International Jazz Festival, the Gilmore Keyboard Festival, and the Sacramento Music Festival. In 2008, 2010, and 2014, she was invited to perform at the international Stride and Swing Piano Summit in Boswil, Switzerland.

Paolo has a Degree in Piano from G. Verdi Conservatory of Milan and a degree in Economics for Arts, Culture and Media from Bocconi University. Since 1996 he has performed in Italy, USA, Japan, Australia, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, France, Ireland, Hungary, Luxembourg, Holland, Belgium, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom, Israel, Malta, Morocco.

Paolo reached the second position in the “Top Jazz 2007” referendum organized by the jazz magazine “Musica Jazz” as “Best New Talent” and first in the popular referendum “Italian Jazz Awards 2007” as “Brand New Jazz Act”. He recorded four piano solo albums and a trio album entitled “Around Broadway” for the label Abeat Jazz and has joined many other recording sessions.
