Ani & Wanei Event Description Come enjoy a gathering of Cherokee and Appalachian people! You can join a Cherokee Friendship Dance or taste frybread tacos, listen to a native flute musician or an Appalachian guitarist, browse for Appalachian and Cherokee art, and meet the Cherokee Royalty. There will be face painting and puppet shows for the kids. Come, join hands to get to know another prominent culture in these mountain communities.  The event takes place on September 22nd from 12:00 PM until 4:00 PM at the Hickory Nut Gap Farm on 57 Sugar Hollow Road, Fairview, NC 28730.
