Apple Harvest Day

For the last 38 years, on the first Saturday of October, the Greater Dover Chamber of Commerce has hosted Apple Harvest Day. Once a craft fair made up of 25 vendors that occupied one block of Central Avenue, Apple Harvest Day has grown into a true street festival spanning eight city blocks with multiple stages of entertainment, two food courts, a 5K road race, children’s amusements, and over 300 vendors. Apple Harvest Day now draws more than 60,000 visitors! Hours of fun await families with inflatable amusements, a roaming train, petting barnyard, and more. The KidZone is also home to the Henry Law Park Food Court which offers festival-goers dozens of food options from traditional carnival foods to gourmet apple-themed treats. Music, art, and culture take center stage at Apple Harvest Day with entertainment featuring a diverse group of performances. Song, dance and theatre fill the streets at Apple Harvest Day, which naturally makes the festival stages activity hubs.
