Arizona Indian Festival Returns to Scottsdale in February 2023
The two-day festival offers an exploration of Native tribes’ authentic dwellings, cuisine, and artistic expression
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (January )— The Arizona American Indian Tourism Association (AAITA), in partnership with Arizona’s Native American tribes, hosts its annual Arizona Indian Festival on Saturday, Feb. 4, 2023, and Sunday, Feb. 5, 2023. Held in conjunction with the city of Scottsdale’s annual Western Week, the two-day Arizona Indian Festival takes place at Scottsdale Civic Center at 3939 N. Drinkwater Blvd.
The Arizona Indian Festival provides guests with the unique opportunity to explore examples of traditional Indian villages and dwellings, experience traditional arts and crafts demonstrations, and enjoy native food vendors and native mainstage entertainment, such as dancing and singing, representative of many tribes. The Tribal Travel and Tourism offices will also be showcasing their native destinations.
“This event allows us to showcase the dynamic Native communities and many tribes thriving here in Arizona. Our event is held each year in Scottsdale to educate the city’s residents and visitors about these tribes, their important roles in Arizona, and their part in the city’s rich heritage,” says AAITA Board President Rory Majenty. “We are proud to represent such a vibrant group of people and share their stories, which have helped shape the past and present.”
The Arizona Indian Festival is family-friendly and open to the public. Attendance is free. For more about the Arizona Indian Festival, visit arizonaindiantourism.org.
