Beautiful Futures - a free evening journey through music, mysticism and planetary possibilities

This free evening Late includes Connect to the planet through sounds curated by fresh DJs from Club SOL. Get a personal reading with the Taiao Tarot deck, designed to help us explore our roles in the climate crisis and strengthen our relationships with the natural world and each other. Explore food futures with artist Ling Tan at her Low Carbon Chinatown tasting session and learn how to adapt traditional recipes to reduce their carbon footprint. Have a cup of herbal tea and a chat whilst considering alternative futures, with artist Jo Brinton and her Future Tea project Centre empathy and kinship in food systems by playfully reimagining and reflecting on our relationship with animals in our Re: Pig zine-making and mapping workshop. The exhibition Vital Signs explores how the health of the natural world is intimately connected to human health and wellbeing - from the waterways and atmosphere to the ocean floor. With grass tapestries from Ackroyd & Harvey and Ben Okri ‘I Sing the Spirit Fantastic’, installations by Gayle Chong Kwan’s ‘I am the Thames and Thames is Me’, Spectroscope’s ‘Night Bloom’ and Birungi Kawooya’s 'A Space for Resistance and Renewal’.
