Block Club Block Party

Block Club is hosting its first-ever Block Club Chicago Block Party — and you're invited! When: Saturday, Sept. 7, noon-8 p.m. Where: At the McCormick YMCA, just off The 606 in Logan Square, 1834 N. Lawndale Ave. What: All of the fun block parties are known for on a giant scale — we'll have live bands, food, beer garden, local vendors, kids activities, games + more! Cost: Free. Bands and acts slated to perform include The O'My's, Meg & The Wheelers, Así Así, DJ SKOLi, the Jesse White Tumblers, DJ Kid Clay and DJ D.R.E.A.M., Chicago urban historian Shermann “Dilla” Thomas and Frank "Gator" Robb (who rescued Chance the Snapper!). For the kids, we'll have bounce houses and activities by Somos Arte, the YMCA and a performance by the Wiggleworms. The best part is all of it is free!
