Breanna's Star | April 29 - May 3, 2025 - Annual Auction and Fundraiser - Registration for the auction is FREE. Breanna's Star is the annual spring auction and fundraiser to support bringing the magic of the arts to hospitalized children.

ALL programs are FREE to the children, families and facilities we serve. Our sole income is from generous donors like you. We are grateful for your support. We are proud to report Breanna's Gift has earned Candid's 2024 Platinum Seal of Approval and meets the Charities Review Council's stringent nonprofit standards.

WHO WE ARE: Breanna's Gift is an arts program offering dance, visual art, music and performing arts experiences and workshops for hospitalized children with cancer and other serious illnesses. Our professional teaching artists are accompanied for in-person classes by a Breanna's Gift volunteer who helps present projects to the children and their families.

WHAT WE DO: - In-person classes are taught at Children's Minnesota in Minneapolis and Gillette Children's in St. Paul. The classes are designed to meet the ages and abilities of all children participating. Visual arts are for exciting imaginations using different concepts and materials that incorporate the benefits of working with your hands along with providing a sense of accomplishment. Dance is a combination of movement and music. Whether the children are standing or sitting in a chair in the playroom or dancing in their beds, the results are always fun. Music is a joyful experience including singing, making and playing instruments and using musical props. All classes are diversions from the daily routine of a sick child.

- Art Takeout™: Art Classes in a Box for children who are not able to leave their hospital rooms for group classes. It could be because of a compromised immune system, a procedure, physical therapy, meeting with medical staff or just not feeling well. Each "class" contains instructions and all the materials necessary to complete a project. Projects are designed so they can be fun with or without a "helper".

- Art Take 2™: A library of classes in a video format taught by Breanna's Gift teaching artists, Art Take 2 was added to our programming to provide classes when Covid restrictions did not allow in-person visits. This programming began in early 2020 and has become an integral component that enhances what we are able to offer. The video classes in visual arts, dance, music and performing arts are all very similar to what we bring to children in person.
