Calderón Dance Festival

Enjoy a FREE day of dance at the Calderón Dance Festival, a festival that celebrates the life of Shannon Calderón and her vision for building an accessible community that creates diverse and equitable opportunities in dance. The festival brings together participants and audiences from across the state, nationally, and internationally to experience the rich diversity and beauty of dance in all its forms. Presented in partnership with SPARK! Creative Lab, the Calderón Dance Festival is scheduled to take place on May 18th, 2025 at the Myriad Botanical Gardens in Oklahoma City, and is expecting an attendance of over 5,000 dance enthusiasts, participants, and families. The festival will feature a variety of performances and classes showcasing styles from Classical Ballet, Folklores, Hip-Hop, Jazz, Flamenco, Tap, and many more. Festival Headliner: Grammy Award winner Anthony Thomas, choreographer of Janet Jackson’s “Rhythm Nation”. Featured Guests Artists include ReVoZo, Edgar Cruz, and guest judges for the Hip Hop Battle (with cash prizes!) led by Groovemeant Community.
