Camp to Community: A T1D Event for the Whole Family

The DFC's Camp to Community event at Appalachian State University in Boone, NC, on September 14th from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM is for children (ages 5-15 years) with T1D, their families, and caregivers. Participants will enjoy a variety of activities, lunch, dinner, a vendor fair, a T1D expert panel, and a chance to win $200 toward a DFC summer camp or weekend retreat. This program offers families a taste of Camp Morris, allowing kids to gain confidence in diabetes management, while adults connect and find support in a welcoming community.
