In recent years, the Cologne collective Cardinal Sessions has not only made a name for itself with live acoustic sessions with musicians from all over the world, but is also organising a festival evening for the eleventh time.

In front of the cameras at the Cardinal Sessions were international stars like Conor Oberst, Hozier, The War on Drugs, Pete Doherty or The Avett Brothers. Special attention is paid to the feeling for young artists - acts such as Ry X, First Aid Kit, AnnenMayKantereit or Julien Baker performed in front of the film crew's cameras long before the breakthrough. This also becomes clear at the festival: artists who fill large halls a few months later can be seen here once again on a small scale. Performances by Faber, Andy Shauf, Giant Rooks, Leonids, Bukahara, Shame, Mighty Oaks and many more delighted the audience. In addition, there were always secret gigs with a reduced set-up - so far, among others, by AnnenMayKantereit and Honig.
