Start: Monday, March 3, 2025 7:00AM
End: Thursday, March 6, 2025 6:00PM
The topics to be covered include diastology, , valvular heart disease, cardiomyopathy and heart failure, application of TEE in clinical practice, and use of complementary multi-modality imaging in clinical decision making. Afternoon workshops will allow for interactive case-based sessions on valvular heart disease, hemodynamics, diastology, cardiomyopathy, and 3-D echo with a focus on integrating various imaging modalities to provide the highest quality of patient care.
The course is designed for the clinicians involved in care of cardiology patients, including cardiologists, cardiac anesthesiologists, hospitalists, and primary providers who wish to gain additional practical experience in echocardiography and cardiac imaging. While state of the art content is provided for echocardiographers and cardiac sonographers, a range of general cardiology topics are included. Those who are not dedicated cardiac imagers would be expected to feel more comfortable interpreting cardiac imaging results and integrating these into their practice. Daily reading sessions will provide the opportunity to interpret case studies and to compare and discuss diagnoses with the faculty. An integrated format combining theory and practice will be utilized. In the morning sessions, a traditional lecture series will present state-of-the-art information on selected topics. Application of the techniques to clinical practice will be emphasized.
In the afternoon, attendees will have the opportunity to apply the lecture material in a workshop
environment. Many cases will be presented, analyzed and discussed. Each afternoon, attendees will be
able to participate in sessions covering a wide spectrum of diseases in clinical cardiology. There
will be live scanning demonstrations included in afternoon workshops.
