Celebrate America’s 250th Birthday at Collegedale’s Freedom Festival on July 4th

Join the City of Collegedale on Saturday, July 4, as the community celebrates the 250th birthday of the United States. Friends and families from across the region are invited to enjoy an evening of community, music, and summer fun at this year’s Freedom Festival. The special Independence Day celebration begins at 5 p.m. and will feature live entertainment, local vendors, free family activities, and a variety of food options. Attendees can enjoy a free Kids Zone featuring inflatables, bounce houses, giant slides, an obstacle course, and interactive games. Families can also take advantage of free face painting, balloon twisting, and a petting zoo for children of all ages. Food trucks will be located next to Veterans Park and at The Commons, offering a wide variety of food and refreshments for purchase. Inside Founders Hall, attendees can browse craft vendors and boutiques while enjoying live music throughout the evening. The entertainment lineup will feature two opening acts leading up to a special performance by American Idol Top 3 finalist Breanna Nix, who will take the stage at 7:30 p.m. After dark, the City’s spectacular fireworks show will bring the evening to a memorable close. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets and enjoy a relaxing evening with family and friends at one of Collegedale’s favorite community celebrations.
