With a departure from the avant-garde, Thursday 28th September sees a return to more traditional chamber music with cellist Rainer Crosett (pictured) accompanied by pianist Daniel King Smith, who have a compelling programme ranging from Beethoven to Isang Yun. PROGRAMME Ludwig Van Beethoven – Sonata for Cello and Piano No. 4 in C major, op. 102 Isang Yun – Nore György Ligeti – Sonata for Solo Cello Claude Debussy – Sonata for Cello and Piano in D minor, L.135 Interval Sergei Rachmaninoff – Sonata for Cello and Piano in G minor, Op, 19 In the splendid setting of All Saints Church, Fordham, acclaimed cellist, Rainer Crosett, accompanied by the distinguished pianist, Daniel King Smith performs a contrasting programme traversing several musical eras and styles. The programme accentuates the cello's expressive depth and versatility alongside the wonderful acoustics of the church.
