Colorectal Cancer Awareness Hip-Hop Event: "Check Yo Self for Yo Health"
Join us on Tuesday, December 3rd at Subterranean Chicago (2011 West North Avenue) for the "Check Yo Self for Yo Health" colorectal cancer awareness showcase. This event aims to raise awareness about the importance of colorectal cancer screenings (colonoscopy) and support cancer prevention efforts.
The night will feature a lineup of talented hip-hop artists, including Bob Rock, Pugz Atoms (a Chicago MC veteran), Moe Cyrus, Vic Spenser (TBD), Palmer Squares (a very well renown group that has a major following as the headliner), Ra Cesar, Stone Flacco, and Epik1 alongside Sam I Am the Emcee (a five time 106 and Park freestyle champion), Lyric Versatile, and Paul Jillz. Doors open at 9 PM, with a freestyle cypher starting at 9:30 PM and performances kicking off at 10 PM. DJ Kin Solo will be spinning throughout the night, while the event is hosted by Shadow Master and Anyi Ahlaton.
This is more than just a music event-it's a community-driven effort to spread life-saving information about colorectal cancer prevention and early detection. In collaboration with the American Cancer Society, informational pamphlets will be available to attendees to raise awareness about colorectal cancer prevention and screenings.
All proceeds from this event will go toward supporting EPIK1's ongoing cancer treatments. If you can't make it in person, there's still an opportunity to help! Scan the QR code on the flyer to donate and contribute to the fight against colorectal cancer.
