Cherry Blossom Festival

This is one of the most iconic spring celebrations in the U.S., celebrating the arrival of spring with over 3,700 cherry trees in bloom around the Tidal Basin. The festival includes cultural events, parades, performances, art exhibits, and activities for all ages while honoring the 1912 gift of the cherry trees from Tokyo to the U.S. capital. In 2026, the event also coincides with America’s 250th anniversary celebrations.
