With strong inspiration from guitar-wielding icons John Mayer, Gary Clark Jr., Ocean Alley, Tash Sultana, and The Black Keys, he is able to strike a balance between free-spirited indie rock with disciplined, yet creative, blues rock and indie pop. With a versatile talent for combining his catchy, blues-infused guitar riffs with a vocal style ranging from smooth, harmonized tones to gritty, rock-inspired singing, Chris App’s bluesy motifs are the defining foundation to his improv, solo-heavy style that is conducive to new and unique melodies during his live performances.
