Made possible by GrinGOapp.com, internationally acclaimed Michelin-starred Chef Mario Hernández Alonso of El Califa de León taqueria in Mexico City will make an appearance serving up his highly sought-after tacos for Cinco de Sabor, a culinary event in Phoenix. The upscale event takes place from 7-10pm on Friday, May 2, and aims to highlight the culture and flavors of Mexico, as well as the importance of cross-border travel safety. Four other notable Valley chefs who share a passion for honoring Mexican heritage through gastronomy will feature their iconic dishes, including: - Rene Andrade of Bacanora, a James Beard award-winner and 2024 top chef of the Southwest - Matt Carter of The Mission and Fat Ox - Ivan Gonzalez of Chico Malo, Wren & Wolf and Filthy Animal - Joey Maggiore of The Mexicano, The Italiano and Tomaso’s Together, these chefs will serve up unforgettable flavors for all involved. *This is a 21+ event
