Events kick off with a 5:00 Art Show opening and Jazz Concert at the East Madison Grange. Saturday's full with a 9am-3pm yard sale, and a 1pm-3pm antiques appraisal fair with Lee Glynn. The silent auction bidding starts at 10am on Saturday and closes as 1:30 on Sunday. Saturday night is a community potluck supper at the Grange and a presentation commemorating the Grange building's 125th anniversary. ON Sunday EMHA hosts a hotdog/dynamite luncheon with salads, drinks, and ice cream sundaes for dessert. At 1:00 Matt Cost, a mystery author who grew up in East Madison, will do a book talk on the lawn, weather permitting. ( if its rainy, we'll move inside) Following his talk, we will announce the winners of the silent auction items. At this time we have dinner and theater tickets for Lakewood Inn and Theater, gift cards from the Bankery/Skowhegan fleuriste, an Italian cooking class from our very own Enzo Capozzi, pies and bread certificates, a quilt, rounds of golf, products from area businesses including Ginny's Natural Foods, and 2 trees from the Lakewood Nursery. More items are arriving daily. Come and support your local Historical Association. Stop by our free lending library while you are in town too! The yard sale items currently include stained glass,oil lamps, camp tables,beds and other furniture, a sailboat, chain saw, glassware, small appliances, tools, a collection of vintage cordial glasses and much more.
