Yusuf’s artistic journey is a reflection of intersection between cultures, experiences and personal growth through his abstract paintings. Through his brushstrokes Yusuf captures the spirit, the emotion, the inspiration that underlies the experience of growing up in a village surrounded by people of all ages, immersed in the ebb and flow of nature at every moment. Yusuf layers these moments and relationships in his art with colors and shapes that speak to his experiences of living in the US -- with its dense population and towering buildings, and the urban dichotomy of holding nature, as well as relationships, often at arm's length.
