Held against the picturesque backdrop of the historic Victorian mansion and gardens of the Kneeland-Walker House in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, the Firefly Art Fair is more than just an art exhibition, it’s an immersive experience that embraces the spirit of community and fosters connections between artists, patrons, and history enthusiasts. The Wauwatosa Historical Society, known for its dedication to preserving the rich heritage of the area, adds a touch of historical charm to the event, infusing the fair with a distinct sense of place and belonging.
The Fair will feature paintings, pottery and ceramics, glass, basketry, jewelry, fiber art, mosaics, photography, pen and ink drawings, metal work and wood. There will also be a floral arranging workshop. "Firefly in Bloom," as well as live music, food trucks, and a pie & dessert tent.
This year’s Firefly will also include an indoor exhibit called “Wauwatosa Goes to War,” featuring photographs, uniforms, and memorabilia from the Revolutionary War, War of the Rebellion (Civil War), War of 1812, World Wars I and II, Korean War, Vietnam War, and recent military action. The exhibit will present different eras in the rooms throughout the first floor of Kneeland-Walker House.
