2022 Forest Heights Blueberry Festival JUNE 4, 2022 11am - 9pm Website: https://www.regenerators.earth/festival The Blueberry Cook-off, 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Location: The cul-de-sac at 145 Holly Court, Athens, GA Participants serve their best blueberry recipes to a panel of "celebrity" judges, who will decide awards for Most Delicious, Most Unusual, Best Presentation and Best Overall, for the title of 2022 Master of the Blueberries. Open-Yard Tour, 2 - 4 p.m. Location: 515 Forest Heights Drive, Athens, GA Forest Heights resident, Kerem Kilic, will give tours of the edible and ecological landscape he's creating on a half-acre site along Forest Heights Drive. He'll explain what he's doing to transform a lawn into a "food forest" with a diversity of nut, fruit and soil-building trees, shrubs, and herbs. There will also be activities for kids. The Blueberry Jam concert, 5:00 - 9 p.m. Location: The cul-de-sac at 145 Holly Court, Athens, GA Featuring talent from the neighborhood, The Blueberry Jam concert is the culmination of the festival and will include food trucks, arts and crafts vendors, door prizes and a silent auction.
