The Friends of the Wescott Library's huge semi-annual book sale fundraiser will take place October 11-15 at the Wescott Library, located at 1340 Wescott Rd, Eagan, MN. There will be thousands of books to choose from for $.50-$1 a book. Cash or check payments only.
Some of the genres include children's books; teen and young adult fiction/non-fiction; adult fiction/nonfiction; memoirs; history; parenting; self-help; business/careers; arts and crafts; sports; spirituality, religion, social science and more.
Sale hours are:
- Wednesday, October 11, 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. (Friends members only)
- Thursday, October 12, 9 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
- Friday, October 13, 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Saturday, October 14, 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Sunday, October 15, 1 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., Bag Sale @ $5 per bag
Book sale proceeds, membership fees and donations fund a variety of materials and activities, including:
- Activity centers in the children's area
- Annual Home School Science series materials
- Support for the Summer Reading Discovery and other reading programs
- Funding for scholarships through the Eagan Foundation
- Enhancement of library spaces through the addition of live plants
- Author events
- Specialty furniture and displays
- Book group kits
- Lucky U! books
- iLab equipment
- Book bags for literacy
- STEM kits
Gently used books can be donated to the library all year round during regular library hours.
