Galewoodstock is a full day of events including: -Live Music: Our event features an eclectic array of music, with everything from blues to swing to rap. We’ve got something for everyone! This year we’ll be hosting the following musical acts: -Mary Lane and the No Static Blues Band -Tino and the Latin Swing Factor -The Microphone Misfitz -Nasty Snacks -Bowmanville -Oak Park School of Rock -DJ Handz Solo -Children’s Activities (12PM-2:30PM): Children’s Entertainers, Balloon Artists, a Bubble Show, Games, Dancing, and more! -Great Food: Food will be available for purchase from local Chicago restaurants and catering businesses. -Artist Demonstrations & Vendors: We’ll have booths setup with products available from local Chicago artisans and makers. We’re looking to lift up not only our community but also the surrounding neighborhoods by encouraging attendees to shop local. The following artists will be providing demonstrations and/or have work available for purchase: -Galewood artist René Arceo will be hosting an educational activity for kids and families where participants can make an art print. -A pottery demo by Juarez Hawkins. -A woodblock demo by Cortney Anderson. -Artwork by Satish Prabhu. -Artwork by Atlan Arceo-Witzl.
