Two animal stories come to life for the whole family, with the Philharmonia Orchestra.
Gaspard the Fox tells the story of an urban fox and his meetings with animals and humans in the city.
The three books about the vulpine hero are written by Zeb Soanes and illustrated by James Mayhew.
The latest book in the series, Gaspard’s Foxtrot, has been set to music by composer Jonathan Dove.
In this live show Gaspard’s adventures are narrated by its author Soanes and brought to life on screen by its illustrator Mayhew.
Gaspard is joined by another classic canid character a much-loved work of musical storytelling, also narrated and drawn live by Soanes and Mayhew: Prokofiev’s Peter and the Wolf.
Jonathan Dove’s music for Gaspard’s Foxtrot was commissioned by the Philharmonia Orchestra, Three Choirs Festival Association, Docklands Sinfonia, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic and Royal Scottish National Orchestra.
