This year we are excited to welcome Claire Kelly from Season 3 of Netflix's 'Blown Away'
as this year's glassblowing demonstration artist.
?
In addition to watching glassblowing demonstrations by Claire Kelly, enjoy delicious creole food by Creole2Geaux, drink local beer, wine, & frozen beverages from Grove City Brewing, Plum Run Winery, & Nola DAQ Shak. Your drink will taste even better when sipped out of a hand-blown tumbler created by our Glass Axis artisans! Back by popular demand our all-you-can-eat baked potato bar! Hot & fresh out of the fusing kilns will be both russet and sweet potatoes that you can embellish with both savory and sweet toppings.
We are excited to welcome back flameworking artists DMOPglass & WillStarGlass, blowing glass pipes on the torch throughout the evening. Then check out Glass Axis' Inaugural Pipe Show in our gallery featuring both local and international glass artists. Want to try and make a pipe yourself? Use one of your tokens and hed over to the hands-on torch classes that will be happening during the event!
When not watching glassmaking demonstrations and indulging in delicious treats, use your activity tickets to play the various games and test your luck at the contests throughout the studio. Back by popular demand is the Glass Smashing Station, where we encourage you to break glass instead of being careful with it. Additional Activity Stations Include: Make a Glass Pipe, Caricatures, King's Cake Contest, Plinko , Bottle Pull, Raffle, & More!
?
*All Proceeds from this year's event will go towards the move of Glass Axis to its new studio, which will be taking place this summer.*
