6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 19 Museum Lawn or Atrium
Join a group walk, as part of a series titled Groundwork, developed by curator Simonetta Mignano. Groundwork is about walking in ways that connected with the land and the surroundings in new, immersive ways. In this 45-minute walk on the Museum lawn (or atrium), Mignano presents A Walk to Become Another, which will include silent observing another walker or passerby, and allowing their perceived qualities into your own body. This SEED Lab program is free and is part of North x North Festival. Sign up here.? See a full list of North x North events at anchoragemuseum.org/nxn.
Simonetta Mignano is the co-founder and director of Bivy in Anchorage and works with the Alaska Humanities Forum. She is a member of the collective Viaindustraie in Italy. Her research at SEED Lab investigates ways humans can engage with the natural world, in urban settings, and develop new understandings and awareness.
