BARABOO HILLS, Wisconsin – From September 10-12, 2021, yogis from across the country will retreat into the ancient landscape of the Baraboo Hills of Southern Wisconsin for the fourth annual Harvest Moon Yoga Festival. A limited number of tickets are now available for attendees of all experience levels to discover a weekend of sacred space and restoration through yoga classes, inspiring workshops and talks, hiking, live music, and social gatherings.
“We’ve created a vibrant and diverse yoga community that always feels like family by the end of the weekend,” says Jenn Smith, founder of Harvest Moon Yoga. “We’re really focused on creating a nurturing and creative place where everyone feels welcomed, comfortable and renewed.”
This year’s schedule features various yoga styles taught by renowned instructors from the Madison, Amery, and the Chicago area, including annual favorites Wade Gotwals and Amber Cook. This year’s festival will again include an Aerial Yoga performance and a drop-in-and-try aerial workshop.
Besides a core focus on yoga, the festival also features a wide range of activities that combine artistic, sustainable and spiritual practices, all within the idyllic setting of the family-owned hardwood forest in the Baraboo Bluffs. Smith, an avid gardener and beekeeper, is passionate about sharing her family’s stewardship for the land as well as the resources that she harvests.
“Preservation and sustainable living have been a huge priority for my family,” Smith says. “I love being able to foster that legacy by sharing food from our garden, or wax from my bees for communal experiences like meals and art projects. We always infuse these elements into the festival’s offerings as a way of showing our gratitude to everyone who attends.”
The pinnacle of the weekend celebration peaks with Gin Mill Hollow. Their sound incorporates elements of bluegrass, folk and Americana, and they draw from influences that include The Wood Brothers, Tom Petty, The Band, Neil Young, and Bob Dylan.
An incredible opportunity of self-discovery and awareness through yoga, meditation, restorative conversations, and live music awaits. Tickets are limited in order to keep the experience intimate.
