Ukulele enthusiasts can look forward to this free event with live stage entertainment on the bandstand including some of Hawai?i’s top ‘ukulele entertainers including Kamakakehau Fernandez, Aldrine and Aaron, Kalei and Corey, AG ?Ukulele Academy, Chuck James School of Music, Bryan Tolentino, Ku?uipo Kumukahi, ?Ukulele PuaPua and more.
Plus enjoy a Hawai?i Artisans and Crafters Village, a multi-ethnic food court and shop for ?ukulele’s. Discover the cultural significance the ?ukulele plays as Hawai?i’s ambassador of Aloha. Enjoy community information booths and ?ukulele inspired merchandise ranging from gifts, books, apparel, jewelry, and art, a Hawaiian cultural activities zone and more. This is an opportunity to meet and engage Hawai?i’s local ?ukulele community.
Special Events Hawai?i presents the Hawai?i ?Ukulele Festival in partnership with Kala Foundation, a 501(c)3 Nonprofit dedicated to Hawaiian culture, language, hula, music, and spiritual preservation. The leadership of Kala Foundation have been the Co-Chair of the King Kamehameha Celebrations including events such as the O?ahu Parade and Ho?olaule?a’s, plus managed the Mele on the Move and much more. For over 33 years Special Events Hawai?i has been one of the largest promoters and producers of large-scale community events in the state. The event planners behind the some of Hawai?i?s best loved and well attended events including the the Made in Hawai?i Festival (1994-2020) and Virtual Made in Hawai?i Festival and On-Line Marketplace (2020) as well as coordinated events such as the Hawai?i Book and Music Festival (2009-2024), Best of Honolulu Festival, Hawai?i Chocolate Festival (2011- 2018), City and County of Honolulu Mango Jam, “I Love Kailua” Town Party (2001 - 2024), ESPN Hawai?i Sports Festival (2019), Kaua?i Chocolate & Coffee Festival (2018 – 2025), ‘Ukulele Festival Hawai’i (2017 - 2019), Goodwill Goes Glam Gala (2019-2025) and more.
