?? THE AXES ARE BACK! Heart O’ the Hills Legendary Logging Days Return for the 150th Birthday Bash! HILL CITY, SD — Dust off your flannel and get ready to hear the roar of the chainsaws! After a 12-year hiatus, the Heart of the Hills Lumberjack Show and Logging Days is making a triumphant return to kick off Hill City’s massive 150th Birthday Celebration! For decades, Hill City was the South Dakota epicenter of logging grit. Starting in 1973, the toughest loggers in the West gathered here to battle for glory. This May, we are bringing that nostalgic "timber" spirit back to life on the streets of Downtown Hill City. ?? THE MAIN EVENT: Lumberjack Enterprises We’ve summoned the world-class pros from Lumberjack Enterprises, out of Stillwater, MN to take over Elm Street for two days of adrenaline-pumping action. Three unique shows daily (11am, 1:30pm, and 4pm) featuring 11 heart-stopping events, including: • Log Rolling & Boom Running: Who stays dry? • Hot Saw Racing: High-speed, high-octane horsepower. • Springboard Tree Topping: Defying gravity with an axe in hand. • Axe Throwing, Chainsaw Carving, and MORE! ?? FOR THE NEXT GENERATION Think your kids have what it takes? Our Interactive Kid’s Camps (12:30pm and 3pm daily) let the little ones try their hand at log rolling and sawing! (Parental waiver required, memories guaranteed.) ?? BEATS, BREWS, AND BULLSEYES The competition doesn't stop at the logs. We’re filling the weekend with: • Axe Throwing & Dunk Tanks: Test your aim for a cause (proceeds benefit local charities). • Cornhole Tournament: Bring your A-game for cold hard cash prizes. • The Soundtrack: Live music all weekend long featuring the country styling of Brent Morris (Saturday 2pm), Native American-influenced sounds of Sequoia Crosswhite (Saturday 4:45 pm), and the country stylings of JJ Kent and the Aces (Sunday 4:45pm) ________________________________________ ??
