Hereford Chamber Choir: Thomas Tallis Re-imagined

Hereford Chamber Choir, directed by Simon Harper, will sing a programme centred around the music of one of England's greatest composers, Thomas Tallis. The programme will include many of his magnificent Latin motets including his masterpiece Videte Miraculum, as well as his nine tunes for Archbishop Parker's Psalter as the centrepiece of the programme. Tallis's music will be interspersed with contemporary settings of some of the same texts, and pieces directly inspired by Tallis, including works by Cecilia McDowall, Bob Chilcott, David Bednall, and a work specially composed for the programme by Hereford Chamber Choir member Esther Kay.
