Hunger Hike

Join us for a fun, family-friendly celebration while helping to fight hunger in our community. Come down to Riehle Plaza at 1:00 o’clock. Get your face painted. Hang with Purdue Pete. Pose for a photo with one of our costumed princesses. Take a ride on the Boilermaker Special. Get a massage. Snack on a free hot dog. Listen to some great music. Have fun! At 2:00, we’ll go on a short, 1.5K, hike around Tapawingo Park. Stop along the way to witness an amazing trick from magician Scott Starkey, grab a popsicle, get a hands-on look at the Purdue Crew Team’s boats, or listen to some wonderful music from singer Sharon McKnight. All Hunger Hike proceeds directly support the food and hunger programs at Lafayette Urban Ministry, Food Finders Food Bank, and St. Thomas Aquinas’ Haiti Ministry.
