In the Dark is a revolutionary live music experience that strips away all visual distractions, allowing audiences to connect with music in its purest form in the most intimate of venues. Following its previous sold-out run the show is returning for a brand-new series in 2025, at London’s oldest church building the exceptionally beautiful Romanesque St Bartholomew The Great in Smithfield from 16 January, and at the historic Chain Store next to London’s only Lighthouse in Trinity Buoy Wharf from 20 March plus a one-off special show on the Cutty Sark on 25 January to celebrate Burns Night. Tickets go on sale today at 10am. This unique 60-minute show, where musicians perform live in total darkness and audience members wear sleep masks, has redefined how an audience listens to live music. This extraordinary experience invites the audience to discover how profoundly they can hear when their sight is removed. In the Dark is performed by a collective of professional musicians who rework everything from ambient, Scandi and nu-folk to experimental and classical soundscapes using a hidden line-up of instruments, vocals & sounds. The music performed is always a secret until the end and audiences are invited to disconnect from the outside world. This show demands the audience’s full attention and serves as a sensory reset.
