Feeling like it's always hotter in St. Louis than anywhere else in the area? You're not wrong. Come learn why at The Whitney R. Harris World Ecology Center's Annual Whitney and Anna Harris Conservation Forum. Our theme this year is "It's Getting Hot In Here: Urban Heat Effects and St. Louis." Join us for an evening featuring UMSL's Dr. Andrew Hurley, Washington University's Dr. Kaylee Arnold, and AECOM's Steven Duong. This expert panel will be presenting the urban heat island effect and potential solutions from historical, biological, and urbanism perspectives. Dinner will be provided for free to registered attendees. Prior to the event, local organizations will be present for guests to learn about what environmental efforts are being made in St. Louis. The forum is held in partnership with the Whitney R. Harris World Ecology Center at the University of Missouri-St. Louis, Saint Louis Zoo, Missouri Botanical Gardens, and Academy of Sciences - St. Louis.
