The inaugural Japan Festival Eustis is a new cultural celebration taking place on March 28, 2026, in downtown Eustis, Florida. Presented by the Arching Oaks Japanese Art & Culture Center, this free, family-friendly event showcases Japanese heritage and arts through live performances, cultural demonstrations, hands-on art workshops, interactive gaming, food offerings, a kids’ zone, and opportunities for international exchange and community engagement. Festival events will include: • Taiko drum performances • Food and merchandise vendor selling Japanese-inspired wares • Koto harp performance • Traditional Japanese dance • Martial arts demonstrations (Kyudo, Iaido, Judo, and Kendo) • Large-scale Shodo calligraphy demonstration • Mini-arts classes (Shibori, Ikebana, Bonsai care, Origami and Shodo) • A kids zone with Japanese crafts and games • Interactive video gaming area • A business exchange area for local and Japanese business to connect and collaborate • Photo booths with kimono and samurai armor • Cosplay costume contest
