Jeff Ormsby in Concert

Local percussionist Jeff Ormsby will perform in concert at Phoenixville Public Library on Monday, March 16 at 7:00 PM. Jeff will perform music from his solo electro-acoustic ambient repertoire including synth sounds, sampling, and live vibraphone.

Jeff has a Bachelor of Music in Percussion Performance from Temple University. He currently teaches middle school music at Montgomery School in Chester Springs, and he is the Percussion Director at Phoenixville High School. Jeff started his musical journey at Community Music School (CMS) in 1998 studying flute and percussion, and he has been on the percussion faculty at CMS since 2014.

As a percussionist, Jeff has performed with the Korean Symphony Orchestra, the Hot Springs Music Festival Symphony Orchestra and Opera, the Reading Buccaneers Drum and Bugle Corps, and United Percussion, with which he has a WGI Percussion Independent Open Gold Medal. He is a Grammy-nominated timpanist with the Temple University Orchestra, and has recorded
