LarryFest: A Memorial Sing & Concert Celebrating Larry Gordon (1947–2021)

LarryFest will take place May 28–29, 2022, A Memorial weekend celebrating Larry Gordon, Marshfield resident and founder of Village Harmony, who passed away in November 2021 after a bike accident. The event, entitled "LarryFest: It's Time To Sing, Everyone!", will be primarily outdoors with activities in a huge tent. Please join us in song, dance and ceremony as we celebrate the life and mourn the passing of Larry Gordon (1947–2021). Saturday, May 28, 2022: 9am–4pm: shape-note sing, a shared potluck lunch, community dancing & memorial ceremony in the early afternoon. Sunday, May 29: 1–4pm: Benefit concert featuring Village Harmony alumni ensembles. Location: Goddard College, Plainfield, VT FREE, with donation basket at entrance. Registration requested, but not required. More details: Saturday, 9am–4pm (Free) Shape-note singing all day Balkan & English country dancing Spaces for informal music making and togetherness Memorial gathering which will include a funeral march with Bread & Puppet. Sunday, 1–4pm Benefit concert: Join us for this musical celebration with performances by local, regional, and international musicians influenced by Larry Gordon and Village Harmony Suggested sliding scale ticket price of $5–$100. Proceeds to benefit our diversity scholarship fund and our memorial online music library in Larry’s memory. No one turned away for lack of funds.
