LA-based comic Amanda Cohen (instagram @amandacohen27) headlines a showcase of some of her favorite Phoenix comedians: Jesse "Kid" Ever, Tara Shakespeare, Sandra Risser, Brandi Bigley, Kate Borrell, and host Gene Moore. She's excited to perform in the Main Room of Mic Drop Mania, but even more excited that she'll have time for a nap afterwards.

From the tiny gap between Boomer and GenX, Amanda is the voice of a generation known for keeping quiet, and audiences of all ages love her. She can be clean enough for a church, hot enough for a bar, and smart enough for public radio. She last headlined ImprovMania in October 2021, before they merged with Mic Drop Comedy to create Mic Drop Mania.

In an industry dominated by youth, Amanda proudly owns her age and the lifetime of material that comes with it. Identifying herself as "Nobody's Mom," Amanda started back in the 80s and worked on the road for several years before taking a break to study improv at the Second City Conservatory and Annoyance Theater in Chicago, all while making a living as a face painter. She came back to stand-up eight years ago, starting from scratch with a whole new attitude.

Sandra Risser (@sandrarissercomedian) Sandra is smart, funny, and older than Twinkies. She's eccentric, not crazy, drives in the fast lane, and can still bench press 500 grams.

Brandi Bigley (@reallybrandibigley) is a stand up comic, actor and singer. They are the cofounder of Do Better Comedy, which creates a safe space for all genders.

Kate Borrell (@borrellkate_) is a Phoenix based stand up comedian, scriptwriter, actor, and lover of naps.

Gene Moore (@genemoorecomedy) is a writer, actor, producer and high energy and fast paced comedian. He's a front-row-friendly comedian that can entertain any audience.
