Festival Details - "Leicester Fest '26"...
Start: Saturday, June 6, 2026 3:00PM
End: Saturday, June 6, 2026 7:00PM
On Saturday, June 6, from 3:00 to 7:00 PM, the Leicester Community Center will come alive for Leicester Fest 2026. This annual gathering is more than just a festival; it is a vibrant intersection of local culture, grassroots organizing, and community support. Designed to foster goodwill and engage neighbors of all backgrounds, the event invites everyone to celebrate the unique creative and civic pulse that makes Leicester home.
A Taste of the Community
The festival highlights our local culinary scene with a lineup of beloved favorites. Attendees can enjoy savory dishes from Grateful Roots and Cecilia’s Kitchen, alongside refreshing drinks from Noble Cider. For those with a sweet tooth, The Hop Ice Cream and Budgie’s Bakery will be serving up treats throughout the afternoon. This gathering of local vendors showcases the small businesses that act as the backbone of our local economy.
Action and Advocacy
In the spirit of active civic engagement, Leicester Fest provides a welcoming space to meet those working for our community’s future. You’ll have the opportunity to hear from and chat with several Democratic candidates and representatives, including:
Julie Mayfield (Senate District 49)
Eric Ager (House District 114)
Lindsey Prather (House District 115)
Terri Wells (County Commissioner)
Julie Kepple and Ben Scales (District Court)
These leaders will be present to discuss local initiatives and listen to neighbor concerns in a relaxed, non-partisan atmosphere.
Supporting Our Neighbors
At its heart, Leicester Fest is a fundraiser for the institutions that serve us every day. All proceeds from our high-energy Live Cake Auction, Silent Auction, and Raffles benefit the Leicester Community Center and the Buncombe County Schools Foundation Bookmobile.
We are also proud to host a diverse range of non-profit organizations that provide vital resources to our area. Attendees can connect with:
Mountain Pet Rescue (featuring an adoption event!)
Pisgah Legal Services
Utopian Seed Project
Friends of the Leicester Library
Long Branch Environmental Education Center
Fun for Every Generation
Whether you’re here for the Field Day games led by Chris Foote, the Tai Chi demonstrations with Patty Gilliam, or to browse the stalls of Leicester artists and farmers, there is something for everyone. From kids’ craft tables to live music, the day is built on a foundation of inclusivity and the "Never Say No" mindset that defines our volunteer spirit.
Join us for an afternoon of food, music, and connection. Together, we are building a stronger, more visible community—one conversation at a time.
