Sunday, August 7, 2022, 33 Leprechauns will hide with their pots o’ gold in the fields of Sharing Meadows in Rolling Prairie, Indiana. Father Dennis Blaney, President of the Share Foundation, invites families and friends to hunt for the Leprechauns and win cash prizes up to $1,500! This year marks the 28th annual Leprechaun Hunt; the festivities start at noon and last until 6:00 p.m.
For one price admission of $60 in advance (if tickets purchased by 5:00 p.m., Friday, July 29th) $70 at the gate, $50 per senior (65+) in advance ($60 at the gate) – children 13 and under are free when accompanied by parent or grandparent - this all-inclusive family fun day is sure to be a highlight of your summer.
Guests will once again be dazzled with a delicious Irish feast. Chef Philippe Joseph of Philippe’s Deli and Catering, Munster has announced the mouth-watering menu of ribs, chicken, sausage and corned beef & cabbage. Leroy’s Hot Stuff will serve tacos & nachos. The fresh roasted sweet corn drawn in butter, pulled pork dinners, hamburgers and hot dogs, homemade zucchini bread, assorted salads, beer and wine for adults and pop for the little Leprechauns round out the menu. All you care to eat and drink is yours to enjoy while visiting!
There are enough activities at this Irish festival to keep you busy all day. Live Irish entertainment all throughout the day to enjoy while children of all ages can enjoy hayrides, a moonwalk, boating and fishing for an enjoyable family day! For the shoppers among you, the Villagers of Sharing Meadows will sell their craft items including beautifully handcrafted soaps, birdhouses, woven rugs, placemats & dishtowels. Finally, lovely gift baskets and a hindquarter of beef are among the items that will be auctioned off.
All proceeds from the day benefit the Share Foundation, a not-for-profit, privately funded organization dedicated to serving the residential, vocational and social needs of adults with intellectual disabilities. Sharing Meadows is the 185-acre community that includes 15 residential houses and a camp for other abled adults. Sharing Meadows is located on La Porte County Road 300 East, two miles north of highway US 20, east of Michigan City. Gates open at 11:00 a.m. C.D.T., and festivities start at noon and last until 6 p.m.
