Limu Fest

Sea Life Park Hawai‘i presents a Limu Fest on Saturday, September 24, conducted in partnership with Waimanalo Limu Hui and other limu practitioners and local organizations. Keeping in theme with conservation, community and the wonderful world of limu (seaweed), the in-park event will feature a variety of vendors, food, and educational booths, as well as a preview of the park’s new Limu Tour. Access to the Limu Fest is included with the price of admission during the park’s regular hours of 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Learn more about the importance of limu in our marine environments and in local culture, cool off with refreshing lemonade from Waimanalo Country Farms, indulge cravings with So Fat—and for grown-up guests, libations will be available featuring Koloa Rum. The park is also preparing special dishes in honor of the occasion to be offered for a limited time, including furikake popcorn, konbu musubi, and poke. A portion of the proceeds from the Limu Fest will benefit the Waimanalo Limu Hui.
