WEGMEYER FARMS ANNOUNCES 2ND ANNUAL LINCOLN STRAWBERRY FESTIVAL: A SWEET SPRING CELEBRATION!
Hamilton, VA – April 1, 2025 Wegmeyer Farms is excited to announce the return of its 2nd Annual Lincoln Strawberry Festival taking place from May 17-18, 2025. This highly anticipated event invites families, friends, and strawberry lovers of all ages to enjoy a weekend of farm-fresh fun, delicious treats, and community spirit at one of Loudoun County’s most beloved farms. The weekend kicks off on May 16th with the BIP (Berry Important Person) Denim Gala fundraiser dinner to benefit the Wegmeyer Foundation. During the weekend, guests will have an opportunity to start the day with a pancake breakfast both Saturday and Sunday before they enjoy the full line up of festival activities.
“We are thrilled to welcome the community back for another unforgettable weekend celebrating Virginia’s strawberry season,” said Harriet Wegmeyer, Co-Owner of Wegmeyer Farms. ”The heart of this festival is giving back to the community. We started the Foundation to make a positive impact in the community by lifting up other non-profit organizations, and raising money for scholarships for local high school students. The Foundation celebrates community contributors – whether through volunteering or working – that make an impact in their communities. The Foundation follows its mission as it celebrates the natural wonder and taste of the strawberry.”
The Foundation supports Loudoun 4-H, Lincoln Preservation Foundation, Lincoln Elementary School, Roots Grow Wings (Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library of Loudoun), Lincoln Community League and Loudoun Heritage Farm Museum. Money raised will be awarded to four high school students making significant contributions in their community as well as the art winner, which will be used in all promotions and displayed during the festival. This year’s art recipient is Cullen Parks, a seventh grader from Harmony Middle School.
