Born in Lubbock's own Lubbock Country Club in the 1970s when Dr. Chilton requested his special concoction of vodka, fresh-squeezed lemons and salt-rimmed soda, the Chilton has evolved from a local secret to an iconic Texas libation. The event will honor the hometown classic with Chilton tastings featuring creative twists on the original recipe, local vendor booths, giveaways and live music that captures the spirited essence of the South Plains. Guests are invited to raise a salt-rimmed glass to the cocktail that put Lubbock on the mixology map!
