Led by globetrotting percussionist Robin Layne, this groove heavy ensemble delivers music that transcends the bounds of tradition. Blurring the lines between jazz, global and folk sounds, the Rhythm Makers carve out new territory for the marimba at the forefront of the sonic landscape. Driven by a belief that music has the power to connect and uplift us, their most recent release Pacifico maps the marimba traditions down the Pacific Coast, inspired by a research trip to Colombia and Oaxaca.
