Festival Details - "Loudoun Symphony Presents Fanfare"...

LSO's opening concert of the season features Aaron Copland's Fanfare for the Common Man, and two of the most stirring pieces of film music ever composed around the theme of Liberty - Hans Zimmer's Now We are Free from Gladiator, and John Williams's Hymn to the Fallen from Saving Private Ryan, which will be sung by the Loudoun Chorale. The LSO will also perform UMOJA, Anthem for Unity, the first classical work by a living African American woman that the Philadelphia Orchestra commissioned and premiered. The program concludes with the magnificent Beethoven Symphony No. 7. The concert will be repeated at 3 PM on October 1.
