Festival Details - "Mac & Cheese Fest"...

The Island Men announces their 6th annual Mac & Cheese Festival, Saturday March 22nd at Good Hops Brewing in Carolina Beach from 1 pm to 3 pm. Contestants are made up of local bakers and makers, amateur cooks, chefs, foodies, local restaurants & businesses. Expect 40-50 contestants vying for the coveted “Golden Noodle Award”. The Island Men will serve over 10,000 cups of this delicious goodness, as well as award winning Good Hops Brewing craft beer.

Mac & Cheese Festival goers pay a $10 donation at the door for all you can eat and are given one voting ticket. The competition is a blind taste test, and the Mac & Cheese contestants win by popular vote based on the number of votes they receive. First Place winner receives the “Golden Noodle" trophy and a cash prize. Kids under 10 eat free. Contestants enter their Mac & Cheese under five different categories. Traditional, Meat, Seafood, Spicy, and Vegetarian.
